School Ski Trips to Folgaria, Italy

Folgaria, in Italy, is a beautiful ski resort town located in the Northern Italian province of Trentino. It is about 15 kilometres south of the main city of Trento, nestled in the heart of the Trentino Dolomites. Though it is often visited in the summer, the area is best known for its 'Skitour dei Forti', which is connected to three of the Altipiani plateaus: Folgaria, Lavarone, and Luserna.

The Folgaria ski network has over 100 kilometres of downhill pistes that are linked to form the Carosello Ski Folgaria. With 37 ski lifts serving the area, school ski trips here will be packed full of non-stop skiing and boarding for all ages and abilities. While in the area of Folgaria, as well as skiing, snowboarding and sledging, students can visit the snow parks and take some time out to go ice-skating too.

Sledging in Folgaria

Skiing, Snowboarding, and Sledging in Folgaria

As one of the most important skiing circuits in the Trentino Dolomites, or Prealps, Folgaria offers something for everyone - including those looking to brush up on their snow-skills or start from scratch at a school. Ski trips here allow access to light blue, red, and black slopes, which are well marked and easy to navigate. The new ski lifts make moving from one area to another simple, as students progress in their ability and want to try higher and harder slopes. If young skiers have had enough of two skis and want to try their legs on a snowboard instead, this is the perfect place. The easy (light blue) slopes are great for learning the basic manoeuvres in a safe and comfortable environment - with a bonus of beautiful views.

Once youngsters have had enough of trying to stay upright on their school ski trip, they can rent a sledge and have a slide down one of the several dedicated runs in Folgaria. While these runs are really intended for children, it is no surprise to see adults here too, sliding down the tracks and having a great time!

Snow Parks

The Folgaria resort area is lucky enough to be served by two snowparks: the Jurassik Snowpark and the Mazinga Park. If your students are ready to take the next step, they can ski down the slopes in these snowparks and see how it feels to fly while navigating the various jumps and obstacles. The Jurassik Snowpark has a slope of 800 metres long, with both easy and hard levels that can introduce skiers to the world of 'freestyling'. The brave (and experienced) have the option to test themselves on 18-metre jumps, boxes, rails, walls, and other props. Mazinga Park is 68 metres long and has five boxes for jumping, including a four metre 'kids box'. This is the ideal place for beginners on school ski trips to give freestyling a try.

Ice Skating

Once the kids have had their day on the piste - the fun's not over yet! Why not take them for a spin around the ice rink in the Palafolgaria? Located at 21 United Nations, the Palafolgaria not only has the all-important ice rink, it also has a pool, a gym and sporting halls. It is the perfect place for students to wind down and relax after a thrilling day on the ski slopes.

Best Places to See Wildlife in Nature

While a zoo definitely has it's place in animal watching, it doesn't compare to seeing animals in their own natural habitat. After a recent visit to Yellowstone National Park, this felt especially true for me. A traffic jam caused by young buffalo calves and their mothers crossing the road is an experience not to be missed. It made me wonder about other places that would be conducive to viewing wildlife in a natural setting. From my research I have come up with a list of some of the best places to visit if viewing animals in nature is your objective.

In the United States, national parks are the best place to start. For viewing sea animals, the best places include the Channel Islands off the coast of California. The islands are surrounded by sea lions, seals, gray whales and humpback whales. There are also numerous tide pools that house creatures such as sea urchins and anemones. Another area great for water animals is Glacier Bay in Alaska. Humpback whales and sea lions are in abundance off shore and on land bears and moose are often times available for viewing. For a different spin on water creatures, visit the Florida Everglades, the last remaining everglades on the planet. There you will see crocodiles and alligators co-exists along with turtles, dear, manatees and bobcats. The everglades contain large viewing towers that are devoted especially to wildlife watching or you can be a bit more daring and take a canoe ride in croc-infested waters.

Other national parks that make the list for best wildlife viewing are Denali National Park in Alaska, Glacier National park in Montana, Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado and Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. Denali, Glacier and Rocky Mountain offer animals such as dall sheep, grizzlies, caribou, wolves, mountain goats, elk, dear, bighorn sheep and marmots. Theodore Roosevelt is a less well known park and therefore offers great viewing of bison, wild horses, deer and elk without all the crowds.

Outside of the US, there are more exotic animals available for viewing at places such as Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica, the Komodo Islands in Indonesia, Tanjung Puting National Park in Borneo, Polar Bear Observation in Canada, and of course a Kenyan Safari.

The Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica is a brilliant rain forest that contains over 100,000 acres of land and 5,000 acres of marine habitat. The park is home to 116 species of amphibians and reptiles, 139 species of mammals and more than 400 species of birds. There are no roads into the park, only hiking trails. Unless you are an avid hiker and have excellent map-reading skills, a guide is recommended. In addition to the trails, there are also viewing platforms built atop massive ajo trees.

The Komodo Islands in Indonesia house the world's largest population of Komodo dragons. These animals can grow to be over 300 pounds and up to nine feet in length. These islands are now an Indonesian national park and permits and tour guides are required, but they make the experience much more user-friendly (Komodo dragons aren't in petting zoos for a reason). In addition to land tours, you can also take a sea kayak around the park and see coral reefs, fish, dolphins, whales and sea turtles.

Orang Utan
Tanjung Puting National Park in Borneo is one of the last places to see orangutans in their own natural habitat. Through an elaborate network of hiking trails, you can see the orangutans up close, swinging from branch to branch, suckling their young, or building nests to sleep. There are also orangutans in captivity which can be viewed. They are being rehabilitated before being returned to the wild. There are other jungle species as well that can be viewed in the orangutan jungle, including clouded leopards, civets, Malaysian sun bears, deer, numerous species of birds, and butterflies.

Nowhere can you see polar bears so up-close and personal as you can in Churchill, Manitoba. When Hudson Bay freezes, between October and November, this town is overrun with polar bears as they travel their migration path. In early winter, they even stop to dine on the region's seal population. For more up close views, you can take a tundra buggy (a converted school bus) into the migratory packs for a quick day-trip. For longer exposure, there are tundra lodges that provide all day exposure to the bears in their native environment.

One of the most famous places to view wildlife is Kenya, and what better way to see it than on a safari. Safari's can take you through the likes of Masai Mara National Park, Amboseli Game Reserve and Mt. Kilimanjaro to view lions, leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, flamingos, black rhinos, giraffes and elephants. Safari's range from less expensive options starting around $500.00 for an 8 day excursion to very luxurious safaris costing up to $9,000. Either way, you get to see what you like most...animals.

How to Pick Up Girls in Clubs

Girls at Club

There exists a three-step method guaranteed to pick up girls in clubs successfully with virtually zero chances of failing. Read on to find out what the three steps are.

How To Pick Up Girls In Clubs - In Three Steps

The most effective way to pick girls up in bars is to first create enough attraction in the girl so that she first gives you the indication that she wants to be approached (known as Indicators of Interest, or abbreviated as IOI).

When you have already created this interest, then the next time is to further amplify the interest using an array of pickup techniques (such as fractionation). This is known as "escalation" where she would then want to get your attention. If this is further amplified, she will then feel compelled to chase you, and so become compliant to your requests (to get her phone number or a kiss).

Here is how you do the above, described in an easy, step-by-step system.

Step 1. Identify her type. The biggest reason behind the failure of attempts of pickup in bars is that men often try to approach women using the same cookie-cutter methods on all women. For example, they use stale and cliched pickup lines that will get them blown out of the water each time without fail. Therefore, before you make your approach, identify her mood and personality, and then make your move accordingly.

Step 2. Generate her interest. When you already get her indicators of interest (IOI) and have moved in to talk to her, then you have to 'turn the tables' and get her to want to talk to you instead. Play 'role reversal' and make her work for your attention. The golden key here is to remain as a 'puzzle' - she will then couldn't resist but want to 'figure you out'.

Step 3. Escalate. A deadly effective way to 'take things to the next level' is to use a technique called 'fractionation'. Using this largely unknown tactic, men are known to be able to pick women up (even in a crowded, noisy place like the club) by bringing her through an emotional rollercoaster.

Fractionation is considered as a 'dark art' tactic which is the basis of hypnosis-based seduction, and while controversial, it is known to be one of the most effective tactics ever invented by underground seductionists.

These psychology tactics are highly unconventional techniques that are used by the secret elite in the seduction community. Use at your own risk. I personally vouch for the effectiveness of these tactics, but care must be taken as they could be outright dangerous in the hands of the unscrupulous.

Recommended Readings

I would recommend reading an article titled "How to Use Multimedia for Business Marketing," written by Lauren Folino and Michelle V. Rafter. I enjoyed reading the article to a great extent because of the idea that multimedia is not only used for entertainment, but it can and should also be used to market yourself or your business/organization. Overall, the article discusses the idea that multimedia, such as mobile marketing, livecasting and podcasting, photo, video and file sharing, can spread the word about your company and help build brand awareness in a very unique and powerful way. This type of media has the potential to go viral quickly.
The next article that I have read and recommend you to read is called "Teaching Effectively with Multimedia" by Jessica E. Zimmer. This is all about why a teacher should use multimedia at its fullest potential in a classroom setting. She explains that students respond to information differently. Thus, it is an advantage as teachers to use many different formats and modes to teach the subject matter of a lesson. As a student myself, I completely agree with the article that teachers should use more than pure lecture itself to try to teach his or her students. Like many other students, I have a tendency to space out or get side-tracked when sitting in a classroom. However, if there is a lecture that incorporates graphics, video, or audio, I am less likely to do so.
Also, I am currently taking a course at my school that requires me to read a text book titled eMarketing: The Essential Guide to Online Marketing by Rob Stokes and the Minds of Quirk. One of the chapters I read was called Social Media (chapter 8). I would recommend individuals to look into either purchasing the book or finding a copy of the particular chapter online. The entire book is quite interesting and as the title depicts, it is all about online marketing. In the chapter called Social Media, it discusses the differences between traditional and social media, the fundamental concepts behind social media, teaches you how creating content and sharing content work together, and how to use the online community in eMarketing efforts.
The last recommended reading I would like to discuss is on a blog called Mastering Multimedia by Colin Mulvany. In particular, I found one blog post to be very interesting. The blog post is titled "Sequencing: The Foundation of Storytelling." Colin discusses that he is not happy with videos that he has recently seen online. He said that the videos lack the basic sequencing of video clips, which is a necessity in creating videos. Basically, the sequence is the foundation of all video storytelling. They compress time in a video story.

How to Eat Healthy at a Restaurant

Eating food at a restaurant may seem like a welcome change from your daily routine of cooking and doing the dishes. For a foodie nothing can seem more exciting than receiving your favorite food on a platter and digging into it. However, in most cases, succumbing to your food cravings at your favorite restaurant can lead to unwelcome changes in your appearance, and can also affect your health in the long run. Does that mean you should quit visiting your favorite joint or downing your favorite snack? Hell no, the key here is to use your brain. Eat smart. Here are some tips to eat healthy at a restaurant.

Eating Healthy at Restaurants

It is difficult to know the cooking methods practiced by chefs in restaurants behind closed doors of their kitchen. Similarly, most of the unhealthy ingredients might get camouflaged by the delicious taste and aroma of the food. This is why you might need to keep a tab on what you eat to ensure that your food intake is nutritious. Else you might just pile on the pounds.

Beverages

We tend to start our meals with beverages or may consume them in between our meals. Most of us are addicted to consuming cold beverages at regular intervals. Read below to know how to choose your beverages.

Opt for some fresh fruit juices and mocktails while dining at restaurants. Fruits are packed with fructose and antioxidants that are highly nutritious for your body. At times, sipping fresh fruit juices between meals induces better digestion.

As far as possible, stay away from aerated drinks, as they are highly sweetened and acidic in nature. Opt for a glass of iced tea, or some freshly prepared lemonade instead.

Make sure to consume plenty of water. Water is not only essential for hydrating your body, but also for reducing hunger considerably.
Meat Course

Meal Courses

Here is What You can Opt For

It is ideal to stick to soups and starters made from fresh vegetables, fish and white meat. Ensure that your meal is free from preservatives.

When eating buffet meals, opt for plenty of salads made from sprouts and green vegetables.

Opt for healthy meals that contain nutrients such as proteins, carbohydrates, fibers, vitamins, in right proportion.

Here is What You can Avoid

  1. Avoid consuming salt over and above the cooking salt with which your meal has been cooked.
  2. Check with the restaurant staff to understand the quantity of trans-fat and saturated fat present in your meal.
  3. Avoid consuming food that has high proportion of artificial food colors.
  4. Avoid consuming meals that are deep-fried, cooked in rich creamy sauces, pan-fried and batter-dipped.
  5. Avoid food prepared in high amounts of butter and other fattening agents.
  6. Avoid food that includes high proportion of bread and other yeast-based bakery products.
  7. Avoid foods like bacon which are high in fat and contain very little nutrition factor.
Sweet Desserts

Desserts

Most sweet-toothed people, like me, await for desserts as the most exciting part of a meal at restaurants. While restaurant menus offer you a list of mouth-watering desserts, you need to be alert about the number of calories packed in them.

As far as calories are concerned, avoid sweets fried in clarified butter, or the ones with high proportion of sugar, chocolate and cream.

Opt for desserts with natural sweetness like a mixed fruit dish. There are bound to be some healthy desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth on the restaurant menu.

Some Parting Suggestions

Reading the above suggestions, you might start wondering if you are actually going to have a hearty meal at a restaurant. Fear not, for there are some easy ways to understand your appetite and eat accordingly.

Buffet meals are costly and therefore, there are higher chances of you trying to eat extra food to get value for money. Opt to order food from an 'À la carte' menu while at a restaurant. This gives you freedom to choose food that is healthy and suitable to your requirements. Another suggestion is to opt for a smaller plate so that you eat smaller portions.

Take short breaks between your starters, main course and desserts. This will help you to figure out if you are really hungry before you order something new.

Speak with the Maitre d' of the restaurant to understand if they have any healthy foods on their menu. You may ask them about the contents of their food preparation, and request for slight modifications to suit your requirement.

Smooth isn't it? These were such simple ways to eat healthy and eat out at the same time. With a keen attention to the details of every delicacy reaching your plate, you will in fact save yourself from the guilt of putting on weight.

Anuja Marathe Kanhere - Greetings to all my readers! It had always been my dream to reach out to people far and wide and that dream has been fulfilled ever since the time I have started communicating through my writing. I hope my writing brings you hope, joy and satisfaction.

Investing in Your Future in Canada

Historically Canadians have enjoyed a very long love affair with their vacation homes. In previous generations the family cottage at the lake was the true meaning of idyllic summers. Usually it was within driving distance of the urban home and often Mum and the kids would spend most of the summer in residence while dear old Dad would commute to work daily or just spend weekends with the family cooking the summer barbecues and enjoying quality time. Even today many families still enjoy the legacy as the original cottages built by their grandparents have been passed down through the generations.

However, much has changed in this new millennium with the manner in which Canadians now view their leisure time and where to spend their vacations. We have transitioned through the 70s and 80s Snowbird era where we became internationally renowned for our mass migration during the winter months heading south for warmer climes, to our current reputation as global homeowners spending our holiday escapes in exotic and diverse parts of the world.

Mobile Phone Locator

How easy is it to keep track of people, things and possessions from the comfort of your own home? Nowadays it is very simple with a mobile phone locator. Most modern mobile telephones come automatically equipped with a GPS tracking device already fitted as standard. It is also possible, however, for a tracking company to track your mobile phone's SIM card, this means it is quite straightforward to turn any mobile phone into its own tracking device.

There are plenty of companies that offer customers online tracking facilities giving you quick and fast access to information concerning the whereabouts of your mobile phone. While everyone's imagination runs riot with images of covert MI5 operations and secret services style, black ops, but there are a number of practical uses that accessing a mobile phone locator system can provide.

Sharing Knowledge Is an Art

Creative Commons
Unlike money and other worldly possessions, knowledge grows within an individual only if it is shared. The immense knowledge one possesses stays with him and dies with him. But to keep it alive, to keep it growing, to enable it to develop and also to make the owner of such knowledge popular, there is an excellent solution called the internet. Through this global network you can reach people from all corners of the world and expose your works which resulted from your untainted talent in the cheapest and easiest way possible.

But when you speak of sharing knowledge there arises a few questions. Your knowledge, your talent and the works resulting from it can be exploited, can be claimed by any person that the work is theirs, and can bring you a feeling that after putting your work online you don't own the work anymore. Most of the people think that the best solution for this is Copyright. They think that copyrighting their works will protect their works and make them the proud owner. But is this the real solution? It is, when you want your works to be protected from infringement. But the very essence of sharing knowledge is lost here. You own your work and you display it for others to see. Are you really sharing anything by doing so?

If copyright is not the perfect solution in terms of sharing knowledge and also the creator getting wide popularity, then what other tool enables this? What will allow the creator to hold the copyright while still allowing others to use his/her work, to enable remixing, adapting and building up of the work, to restrict others from making commercial use of the work and above all to receive due credits for the original work? Well the answer would be 'Creative Commons'.

Now what is Creative Commons? It is a set of copyright licenses (six licenses to be more specific) which allows the creator to keep the copyright of the work, while allowing others to make use of the work, share it, remix it, and adapt it and so on. The most significant attribute of these licenses is that it is mandatory for the user to give due credits for the creator of the original work. In this way the creator owns his work and shares his work at the same time. Isn't that wonderful?

Each of the Creative Commons licenses enables the user to decide which rights they can act upon and which rights they can waive. This is very useful for amateur creators in any field such as Photography, Film-making, Music, Literature, etc to acquire wide acclamation using Creative Commons licensing. The licensing part is also very easy as it does not include great legal formalities. Thus sharing knowledge is through the internet can be best driven with the use of Creative Commons.

Fashion Career Starts At A Fashion School

As you marvel at your score in the aptitude tests, you bolster your own determination towards making the dream a reality! To be a fashion designer is a responsible function. The career choice is perfect and pledge yourself to a life-time dedication.

To aid a career, its imperative that your schooling is good. Indians are highly recognizing the potential of this sector and hence many academies are emerging. The degree will validate your talent which is a passport for future job search.

Choosing a fashion school is not just about learning to sketch and modeling. It is serious education. One needs to choose a school, understanding the leading names in the faculty. A little research on this is essential. Sounding not to be obtrusive at the time of basic inquiry is the best way to seek information. Check out the timings and vacation hours. List out the various facilities offered e.g. canteen, lockers, library etc. Understand the fee and payment schedules to avoid any financial embarrassments. Learn about educational loan schemes with banks.

Seek permission to look around the campus area and classrooms. Usually the staff is pro-active and happy to show you around. Involve your peers or home people as they are your best guides. Make time to read the prospectus or other information. Mark areas where you need more information. Be practical with your questions.

Certain areas of completion of course or exposure to big business units are arbit questions. Placement facilities need to be checked. Understand the criteria and eligibility for the same. Find out their affiliation to international institutes.

The syllabus listed in the pamphlet would be in bullets. Do make inquiries with seniors about detailed functions. Find if factory visits and field trips happen. Do make it necessary to get information on whether the fashion college would provide any type of workshop material. The overheads on paint, sheets, portfolios and presentations are huge. This would add up to the investment you intend to put in the course.

Finally do not get into an airy-fairy idea and be misled by some personality vouching for the institute. Convince yourself well as its your parents hard earned money and moreover your time and dedication.

LaSalle College International Jakarta offer a Fashion Design and Fashion Business programs at Bachelor, Diploma and Certificate degree.

Fashion Designer Education

Fashion designer school is for people that have a passion or extreme interest in all things fashion. While putting together great outfits for friends has always been something you've liked to do on the side, you can do it for a living. Creating clothing and accessory designs just comes naturally to some people, and when you attend classes to really refine your skills you'll be impressed not only with how much you can learn, but how much you can be paid to do the things that you love to do! While designing clothes and even putting together patterns and outfits for yourself and your friends may be a great hobby, it can be an even better job if you go to school and learn how to do it all the right way so that you can come across creative and professional to prospective clients.

Fashion designers will be taught to sketch their ideas, draw and cut patterns, create simple garments, fit and modify finished garments, arrange showings for press as well as buyers, compare merchandise to that of competitors, learn how to keep current, and how to visit textile showrooms when they attend fashion design school. These skills will all contribute to helping someone with a passion for fashion develop their skill and utilize it in the real world.

Most fashion designers are self-employed and simply design for individual clients. Designers become popular by setting themselves apart by being professional, reliable, and using different colors, shapes, and materials that will allow them to stand out among their competition. A great way to learn how to create your own methods of creating great clothing, accessories, or jewelry is to become a designer's assistant. Helping a designer will not only allow those that are learning to see what goes into the business, but will also help them define a sense of self and a true sense of what they want to do in the fashion business.

Some fashion designers work for larger firms and this may be a great way to get a fashion designer education when you get out of fashion designer school, as well. These firms or corporations typically have a head designer, which is responsible for most of the creative aspects and supervision of the design room staff. Assistant designers are often hired by firms and often make the first patterns and help the head designer oversee creative and personnel issues. There are also specialty designers that may be hired by corporations that will work with other designers to help create limited or special lines of clothing. Special designers will often have a specific article of clothing or accessory that they work with and often they design for a specific market or country and can play a vital role in a large design company. There are also theatrical costume designers that create costumes or articles of clothing and accessories for plays, movies, or other theatrical productions and these designers may work on contract. Of course, all of these jobs can be done independent of a firm, but some individuals find these jobs easier to get through a firm first, for a more consistent income.

The work environment for every designer varies, as some work in very professional settings while others work in very cramped and rushed environments. If you work for yourself you can really set the standard for yourself so that you do not have to work in unfavorable situations. If you are looking at working for a firm, be sure to ask hard questions about the work environment and schedule. Just because you just graduated from fashion designer school doesn't mean that you should be subjected to less than comfortable working conditions! Freelance fashion designer work can also be done outside of your own job so that you can slowly create your own client base away from your corporate job.

There is a lot of money to be made by fashion designers once they have graduated and obtained some experience. Many designers make more than $20 an hour and the average salary for a designer is more than $57,000 a year! Of course, education, experience, licensing and a grasp of trends and professionalism are what get you to such a salary, but after attending fashion designer school you can achieve all of these things. Remember that you may not start out at the top, but when you get there all the little jobs you have worked will seem more than worth it so get your fashion designer education now.

LaSalle College International Jakarta is the best place to study fashion design in Jakarta.

Is Social Media and Social Networking Disruptive to a Productive Society? Yes, but Let Us Debate

Each night, I take my daily walk, and I have a list of topics that I discuss with my walking partner. Recently, we were discussing the challenges brought on by social networks, specifically how disruptive social-networking is to our normally very highly productive society, especially at work. You see, folks are so busy checking all the news, iPhone apps, text messaging their friends, and playing on Twitter and Facebook, that they are not getting a whole lot of work done. Personally, I feel this is somewhat unfair to those people that don't have a job but would really like one, those folks who would never in a million years play on Facebook while they were on the company clock.

Now then, there is another problem with social media and social networking, and that is it causes people to be somewhat scatterbrained. Almost as if everyone has turned into an ADHD case, where they can't concentrate for long periods of time on any given project. Obviously this is problematic if you are trying to get something done in your personal life, or at work. There are many things we have to do in our personal lives which takes time, effort, and absolute concentration, for instance doing your tax return.

Likewise, we all know the problems with text messaging, and people playing with their personal tech devices while driving, as these distractions are not only disruptive, but completely dangerous. Now then, on the other hand one can debate that with all the iPhone apps, and the improved communication, people are able to get more done in a day, and save time by using these social networking tools as business tools, therefore increasing productivity. Yes, in many regards that is also true.

If you are self-employed, you can use the increased productivity from your mobile tech devices, and still have the freedom without the leash, as you don't have to sit around by the phone and a computer all day. That's definitely nice, and no one can deny that. In fact, many entrepreneurs probably are already ADHD, and although these devices are making them worse on one hand, they are improving their productivity on another. Traveling sales and marketing teams are able to do more in a shorter amount of time, therefore saving fuel, increasing sales, and saving their company money.

It seems to me there is a trade-off going on, and companies are trying to use these technologies to get the most bang for their buck and the most productivity out of their workforce. If they refuse to allow workers to use social networking tools, and productivity applications, they may be missing the boat. Yet on the other hand if they do, they may be leaking sensitive company proprietary information, while wasting 20 to 30% of their payroll paying workers who are playing around on Facebook. Indeed I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.

Top 10 Sign Design Tips

I am amazed every day I drive down the street and look at the same outdoor advertising graphic design mistakes repeated over and over. Business owners trying to make a living with a street-side presence that barley commands attention.

There are two scenarios that I see on a regular basis.

A potential customer walks into a custom sign shop and indicates their budget. The sign shop owner is weak, afraid of losing a potential sale, so he delivers a sign product designed to fit the proposed cost. With some simple education style selling the sign shop could have sold a product that would have made more money, for his shop, and the customer.
Another customer walks into the sign shop with a layout, or design concept that stinks. Again, fear of losing the customer causes the sign manufacturer to deliver the useless sign. Money down the drain.

Here are some key design elements that I have learned over 15 years in the outdoor advertising industry.
1. Remember that potential customers of all backgrounds and ages are looking at your business from a moving vehicle, in traffic, day and night. They must be able to see and read your outdoor advertising easily. Don't attempt to sell them with information on the sign - save that information until they are in your business.

2. The correct design and layout of your sign is critical to its effectiveness. Crowding the sign with too much text makes it impossible to read from a car, or at a distance. Therefore, the fewer words the better. Use the age-old adage - K.I.S.S. method - Keep It Simple, Son.

3. Understand the concept of "First Read." There should be a focal point located on the sign that will have impact and command attention. Ideally, the first read should incorporate Branding elements like a large graphic, or your company logo.

4. Your sign is your "first impression" with the mobile market, and first impressions are lasting impressions. Your outdoor advertising must project the positive image you want the public to have of your business. Potential customers will judge the inside of your business by how it looks on the outside.

5. Many owners mistakenly think of a sign as merely a device that identifies the business. What they fail to realize is that over half of all new retail sales are a result of impulse buys. People see, shop and buy. If your outdoor advertising is ineffective, it will cost much more in lost sales then the entire cost of a good sign.

6. Your outdoor advertising must have visual impact. It must make your products or services, and your location, easy to remember.

7. Make sure the colors are used in contrasting patterns. Green on blue is not readable, whereas black on white is extremely visible.

8. If you have several colors in a graphic, stay away from multi-colored lines of text or words (they will compete with the colors in your graphic). Black text is better.

9. Ideally, the design and the colors of your location or building should reinforce the design and colors of your sign (or vice versa). Color is probably the easiest and most cost-effective device for this coordination of design for business identification.

10. "White-space". This is the surface area of a sign's face that is left uncovered by either text or graphics. The proper amount of white-space is just as important for quick readability as are graphics, text and colors. In fact, 30% to 40% of the sign's face area should be left as white-space for optimal readability.

Save Indie Band by Downloading Legal MP3

Piracy is always an enemy to many people in the world. Because of the piracy, there would be too many losses that anyone should deal with. Some musicians have already felt how bitter it might be to deal with the piracy. Their songs have been sold in the entire world without their permits. They might not know that somehow their songs have been sold in some countries. This is truly ridiculous and amazing. Those singers didn’t know that they could sell the records that much because the fact is, the numbers of royalties that they have received wasn’t show that much of cash. It means, the piracy did take so much from them and it’s terrible. Well, if it happened to the senior singers, they might have no many problems with it.

It would be extremely terrible when it happen to the newbie. It would even more terrible if it was happening to some indie bands. Those indie bands have decided to use the online media to promote their indie album in the hope that they wouldn’t have to spend too much cash for the publicities. However, after some times, they might not know that their songs have been sold because the fact that they didn’t receive so much from the recording company. The recording company also didn’t receive anything and the only side that took advantages would be the pirates. So, it would be our responsibilities, all of us without exceptions to take care of this condition. It all starts from us. We should prohibit ourselves from downloading some illegal materials from the internet.

If we could start it from ourselves, it would help us to save indie band. It would be excellent if we could save indie band by downloading legal MP3. The legal MP3 would give some earnings for the artists. It means, their creativities would be paid. It would be the best way to show our appreciations to those indie bands. We got to make sure that we would prefer the legal mp3 than the other kinds of it. Illegal one might be cheaper, or it might be free but somehow, it would be the same as supporting the piracy and on the other side, we are killing the indie band. We should realize that indie band doesn’t have much power to compete. They didn’t have much power to make some massive promotion actions. So, act against piracy would be helpful.

The Benefits Of Using Marriage Agencies

There are many good reasons why a man should use the services of marriage agencies. Many people have found their life partner through one of these agencies, and the testimonials and photos on these sites prove it. The clients to these agencies receive help and support when creating their profile, when corresponding with other members and much more.

One of the key elements is that almost all serious marriage agencies require a registration and a fee from their customers. The customers provide essential personal details in the registration process, which greatly reduces the chances of a scam. Additionally, the required fee ensures that only people who are really looking for a partner take out a membership.

Most marriage agencies help their customers with registering and creating their profile. All new members receive help and directions on how to best fill in their profile. This is done to ensure a higher success rate, as the more information there is on the profile pages, the bigger the chance is that the customer will get a contact request from someone suitable.

In addition to the opportunity to browse over hundreds of profiles, the members of such a paid service are able to request regular updates from the agency if there are newly registered customers who match their criteria for a partner.

Finding the right person is a lot more convenient if you are using one of the marriage agencies. They have hundreds of members, most of them beautiful women who are looking for a partner. This gives you the chance of finding at least one that is perfect for you. Finding one, the right one, is all it takes for a man to be happy for the rest of his life.

Another big advantage of online dating agencies is that they connect people from different parts of the world. It is very likely that these people would never meet under other conditions. Luckily, online dating brings people together and provides a much better chance of finally meeting someone.

Most profiles have a photo attached. This is a big advantage compared to online chat rooms, where you are talking to someone without knowing what they look like. However, it is quite possible that some of these photos are not genuine; but if you are using a service for which you pay, they are most likely authentic. Make sure that you attach your own photo to your profile, as this will increase your chances of getting a response.
A big plus when it comes to marriage agencies is that all personal information is kept secure. You can register and fill in your profile knowing that the only other people who will be able to view it are other members of the agency.

If you start corresponding and form a relationship with someone, no one but the two of you will know about it. This is very convenient, especially if later on it happens that relationship does not work out. You do not have to explain to your friends where the girl is who was with you at the restaurant the other day! No one will know that you have ever dated her online, unless you say so. Marriage agencies are very strict about confidentiality and will never give out details about their clients.

7 Tips to Find the Top Service for iPhone Music

iPhone owners are getting excited about loading their new gizmos with iPhone music downloads. After all, the phone-cum-digital portable media player can store up to 100 songs easily and allow a playtime of up to 24 hours of audio. This article will show you 7 hot tips to find the top service befitting of your new toy when it comes to iPhone music downloads.

1. Free or Paid

Freebie seekers probably would argue with me on this. There is nothing wrong with wanting free iPhone music downloads. Who doesn't anyway? But the trouble is that free websites that give you music for free are often associated with exposure to viruses, spyware and adware when downloading media files there. Our phones are too new and precious and to risk exposing them to these harmful elements is a No No.

How about downloading each iPhone song for $0.99 or more at online music services like HMV, iTunes and so on? People wouldn't mind if it is only one or two song. But if we are going to load up at least a 100 songs or soundtracks, this is going to be expensive.

There are now services that offer a lifetime membership for a flat fee of lower than $49.95 to access unlimited iPhone music downloads. These are the real gems!

2. Variety & Size of iPhone Music Library

Music lovers probably have their preferred music. You may not like pop but to another, pop may really sound heavenly. If you love all kinds of music, go with the services that offer multiple genres from Rock, Hip Hop, R&B, Classical to many unheard music genre. Several top sites now offer over 100 million media files including music videos, TV shows and even movies and games.

3. Download Interface

This is a key feature that must not be overlooked. For easy navigation, the interface must be simple to use and does not take long to search and find your music files. One way to get a rough idea is to see how professionally done the site is and to read comments of existing users.

4. Software Applications for Download and Conversion

Several of the more established services are providing free software applications required to download iPhone music as well as movie and video files. They also provide the conversion software needed to convert movies and music file formats into iPhone-compatible formats. The top services also offer you a free DVD conversion software that transfer movies from DVDs to your iPhone.

5. Fast Downloading Speeds

Make sure that the download speeds are fast. Music file sizes are about 3-4 MB per song. Assuming you are downloading 20 songs at a go, the service must not limit your bandwidth usage by slowing down the speed. This is what some poorly run B-grade services do.

6. Safe Download Environment

Some services do not provide good secured environment with a high level of security and safety when you download iPhone music downloads. The last thing you want to worry about is adware, spyware and viruses that could make their way to your computer because the music store refuses to buck up on its system architecture.

7. After-sales Customer Care and Support

Many services just want to make more money. While they promise a 24/7 technical support to entice you to join them, they are hardly around when you need them to help troubleshoot when you face difficulties. Thankfully, there are a few reputable ones who can deliver an excellent level of after-sales service.

St John Baptist de La Salle (1651-1719)

De La Salle is the family name of a French priest, born into privileged circumstances, who believed it was important to provide christian education to the poor. In 1680, at 29 years of age, John Baptist de La Salle invited young men to join him in devoting themselves to the Christian education of youth.

On his death in 1719, there were 100 Brothers in France. He was canonised in 1900 and became the universal patron Saint of Teachers in 1950. Inspired by their Founder, the de La Salle Brothers developed into a worldwide Christian education community.

Today, more than 8,500 Brothers and many thousands of lay partners supportive of the ethos and ideals of St John Baptist de La Salle are continuing the tradition in universities, schools and other educational institutions in over 80 countries.

"To touch the hearts of the young and to inspire them with the Christian spirit is the greatest miracle you can perform, and it is the one that God asks of you; it is the purpose of your work with the young." (St John Baptist de la Salle)
