How to Enjoy a Budget Holiday in Bali

Bali Indonesia
Bali has been known as an island with beautiful beaches, great culture, delicious dining experience, and wonderful night life. And even more, travelers can enjoy all this in a budget! Bali is one of those places where you can go backpacking and enjoy all the holiday activities with low rates. So if you’re planning to have a holiday in Bali on a budget, here are some things that would definitely reduce the cost of your travel:

Accomodation
You can find cheap and reasonably priced rooms in Bali, even in the most popular areas like Kuta, Seminyak, or Ubud. The facilities usually include simple furniture, private bathroom, and electric fan. You can even have the same type of room with TV and air conditioning with low rates. Most of them even include standard breakfast. In a place with beautiful beaches like Bali, you’d probably prefer enjoying the holiday outside your hotel room. So, a standard room that’s comfortable and clean for sleeping and bathing is probably enough for most people.

Food
Try the local warungs and cafes that serve local food with low rates. Be adventurous and look for places that look busy. Take a peek to see if the place is sanitary enough for you and if it serves food that suits your international tongue or tickles your adventurous taste bud longing for new and exotic food. Don’t forget to check if the place suits your budget. Remember, if the locals seem to enjoy eating in a restaurant or warung, there’s a huge chance that the place is cheap and serve tasty food.

Transportation
There are some modes of transportation that you can choose to stroll around in Bali. The cheapest form of transportation is bemo. However, bemo is a bit time consuming, as it is a bit slow and doesn’t have a fixed route. You can also take a tourist mini-bus that are a bit more expensive than bemo, but is much faster and more comfortable than bemo.

Souvenir shopping
In a cultural place like Bali that’s famous for its art, travelers surely want to do some souvenir shopping. However, if you’re on a budget, don’t buy your souvenir in tourist areas like Kuta. You can try doing some souvenir shopping in the central market in Denpasar or at Pasar Sukowati near Ubud. These places sell high quality souvenirs with much lower rates than the souvenir shops in popular tourist areas.
